Impact Noise Barrier (5mm) is a flexible, high-density acoustic underlay engineered to reduce structure-borne impact sound transmission through floors and ceilings. It acts as a decoupling layer beneath tiles, wood, vinyl, or carpet flooring, effectively minimizing footfall noise, dropped-object impact, and vibration resonance in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Manufactured from cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE), rubber composite, or bitumen-loaded vinyl, this product provides excellent impact isolation performance, with added thermal insulation and durability.
Key Features:
5mm thick acoustic membrane for impact noise reduction
Helps achieve up to Lw 1824 dB sound reduction (as per ISO 10140)
Flexible, rollable, and easy to install under a variety of floor finishes
Compatible with tile, hardwood, laminate, SPC, LVT, or carpet flooring
Resistant to moisture, fungi, and thermal degradation
Does not compress over time like foam alternatives
Available with or without self-adhesive backing
Optional aluminum foil / scrim layer for vapor barrier protection
